Responsibility | UX & 3D Scene Design, Project Management |
The project aims at designing an online gallery to showcase renct works of Creal, the creative studio of ConfigReality. It stands as a testament to the innovative fusion of art, observation, and spatial design, crafted to immerse its audience in a unique experiential journey that transcends the conventional boundaries of art viewing.
At the heart of this project lies the intriguing concept of simultaneous observation, where spectators become an integral part of the exhibit, not only engaging with the artworks but also finding themselves ensnared in the gaze of others. This recursive loop of viewing and being viewed transforms the exhibition space into a living canvas, where every movement and moment becomes part of a larger, collective artwork.
Central to the design of the space is the use of architectural elements, the door frame, as framing devices. Doorframes serve not merely as passageways but as dynamic frames that capture and highlight the interplay between different spaces and the individuals within them. What might initially appear to be merely decorative, akin to picture frames, gradually reveals itself to be conduits to new dimensions of the exhibition, guiding visitors from one surreal tableau to the next. This intentional design choice underscores the relationship between the observer and the observed, creating a labyrinth of perspectives where every glance holds the potential to lead to discovery.
Furthermore, the project is envisioned as a versatile template, capable of being adapted and utilized by other organizations or individuals seeking to exhibit their works in an environment that challenges and expands the viewer's experience.
This project is implemented on a WeChat Mini Program through cloud rendering, allowing users to experience it in a lightweight manner via their mobile phones.
